Vitality T20 blast with Glamorgan

Posted on

I have always thought cricket to be a game similar to rounders or baseball. You have a bat, a ball, a bowler and some fielders. That’s what I would have thought were the basics. The bowler bowls the ball at the batsman and the batsman hits it as far as possible. In rounders and baseball you run in a circle at three possible stops, but cricket is different. You have two batsman with two stops which are wickets, placed opposite each other. Instead of running in a circle they run to each wicket passing each other. When each batsman makes it to the opposite side it counts as one run. There are also two other ways to score runs. A cricket pitch is circular and has a boundary which is marked out all around. After the boundary you have the stands for the fans. If a batsman hits the ball and it rolls out to the boundary it is 4 runs, if he clears the boundary without touching the ground it is 6. The batsman do not need to run if they achieve a 4 or 6.

Just a normal day at work as a trainee engineer, online training and exams…
Out of the blue I receive a text from a fellow engineer “I can get early bird tickets to the Foo Fighters”…

That was it! I had to have the link sent to me. I may have got too excited, I bought 4 tickets before asking anyone 😂. One of my all time favourite bands doing three concerts in the UK, must go!

Monster Jam 2018

Posted on Updated on

An adrenaline fun packed day out for all the family. A great place to host it, the capital of Wales, Cardiff.

Cardiff is home to one of the biggest indoor stadiums in the country. It has hosted some big music concerts and of course, is the home of Welsh rugby. The stadium has been lucky enough to host Coldplay! And the line up continues this year with Ed Sheeran and Beyonce coming.

Now, we have Monster Jam! Lets fill up the ground with 300 truck loads of dirt and create some large jumps for these guys to tear it up! 1500 man hours to completely change the stadium ready for these 5500kg beasts.

Bath v Scarlets Recreation Ground 19:45 KO

Unfortunately missing two big players due to injury Halfpenny and Mcnicholl. But still have high hopes for this game. With Patchell starting at full back like he did last week, and his performance earned him man of the match! Its a must win game for both teams for a chance of the knockout stages of the champions cup.
